Burger Spice Mix Tips

>>1) Take about 1/8 of a cup of Heinz ketchup & mix it in with a pound of hamburger, this will help your burgers to stay juicy on the grill. Before putting on the grill cover the burgers generously with garlic salt & pepper, & try not to overcook. Burgers are often cooked way too long, & you will not get good flavor from a dry piece of meat. The Heinz ketchup has spices in it's recipe that cook well with the added garlic.

>>2) Cumin is also a great spice to add to the garlic salt.

>>3) Make hamburgers half beef and half veal... and I add chopped onions, cumin, parsley, salt and pepper. Sometimes I add cubed cheese

stuffed mexiburgers

mix 1 1/2 lb ground beef with a packet of taco seasoning. divide the meat into 8 thin patties. take one patty and top with pepperjack cheese and about 1 tablespoon salsa. top with another patty (sandwich style) pinch the edges of the patties together to make a stuffed patty. the grill. top with another slice of cheese, lettus, and tomato. I've used the same method and stuffed with cooked bacon and swiss cheese. Whatever seasoning you go with I recommend mixing the meat with the seasonin really good and htem makeing the patties instead of just topping the patty with the seasoning. it gives flavor throughout instead of just on top. if you use a liquid seasoning go easy. if your burgers are too moist they will fall in the grill.
